PS4 Pro has been out for a while now, and it’s interesting to see how is the actual interest for the Pro from first-time console gamers or upgrade from standard PS4. If you already have a 4K TV and want to experience gaming in 4K, upgrade to the Pro is a wise option. Or, you prefer to stick with your older FHD TV then PS4 Pro still gives performance upgrade advantages by utilizing the Boost mode, a feature that released in the latest 4.50 firmware.
Interestingly, a recent report from DigiTimes suggests that Sony is currently developing the thinner version of the current PS4 model, probably for the PS4 Pro. So besides confirmed Project ‘Scorpio’ from Xbox, Sony is also possibly working on new PS4 models. It maybe similar to what they did with PS3, released several newer and thinner version than the original. It’s still unclear, however, whether the plan is towards a new Slim model or the PS4 Pro slimmer model as there are no further details yet.

We are guessing that it’s better to develop a new and lighter version of PS4 Pro, maybe to tapping more market that doesn’t like the current bulky Pro design? This is also could further reduce the price of PS4 Pro, like what they have done with PS4 Slim.
